However, as Google states it on their blog, if you place images, animations etc in your flash files, it will not get indexed. Also, for flash buttons that target URLs the bots will not generate any anchor texts if the buttons themselves do not contain any text. Video files, like FLV will not be indexed.

This is a great step ahead, and hopefully we will not see any time soon spam bots that can do their usual with flash applications as well.

The BIG thing about this new apple is that starting july 11th you can aquire it from Apple stores too, not only AT&T. The next BIG thing is that starting september it will be available across entire America (North continent and South as well), and Europe too. Partly Africa, Asia and Australia.

I can’t wait to get my own, push contacts back and forth, calendar information, do email as I should do on a phone and so on.

How many of you are guilty? My guess is that most of you have never though of this, because you have never encountered this issue. I always wanted to implement this into the web apps I build, but I said I got used in the past to CTRL + A, CTRL + C from time to time, in case of something happens.

Something did happen to me a few minutes back, when I accidentally pressed the backspace key, which automatically sent me to the last previous page. This happened after I wrote about 200 words in an article which I was almost about to finish and publish it. Unfortunately, it is lost as I did not do the usual CTRL + A/C thing.

What hurts the most is that I could have easily implemented autosave into the application I was using, but I got to lazy. Now, I have to start all over again, and I know for certain that the article will never be the same. Moreover, if you or your clients using PCs with Windows, you may get a crash, instead of a backspace. This means that the CTRL + A/C trick will not work.

Therefore, always implement in your web applications autosave when editing text! When the inevitable happens and clients won’t lose their work, they will call and say “We love you”.

This scenario is terrible! First of all, it is by no means good for search engine optimization. The index page contains little information about your website, and furthermore, if your logo is animated in flash, the search engine’s bot will not know that there’s something else behind your logo.

Thirdly, your visitors will not click that button immediately. Your logo may even look like a banner and they will think your website contains some banner. Having only a banner, it will look like a scam, or some phishing website. I am sure you do not want that.

So, what are the solutions?

First of all, get rid of the idea that your logo matters and this way you will not kill you developer when saying you will not pay until you see your logo, and only your logo on the homepage.

Secondly, you could have 30 languages in your website. Displaying them beneath a large footer in the index page is not a solution. The solution is loading a default language(*) and then adding a nice dropdown list in a corner of your website.

You can check The FWA to get an idea of how a really stupid index page looks like. Even if it is their case, in which you change the whole domain name! Make a proper redirection to the new one. Nobody cares to know you switched domains. They will see it for themselves while browsing your website, after you redirected them.

So, what was the ingredient. Well, it contained sticky information about a very popular website, among internet users and web developers too. That was all. The glory of Yahoo! did everything for me.

Moreover, hits have increased by 700% (actually 685%).

Bottom line, all you need to do is find a catchy story in your niche, make it public, and if afterwards you submit it to a few social websites you will definitely hit the jackpot.

Another small tip for you: Try finding at least 10 such interesting ideas, post them consecutively one after each other as soon as you see the traffic spike is going back down. This way you could build for at least one whole month steady huge traffic and get your site up and running for good.

Imagine where you could end up. 50 Mb traffic today. 2000% increase in one month will be 1 Gb per day. You will earn from that site lots of money.

Web Hosting Geeks is very complex compared to other websites in this niche. Let me explain why. First of all, they do not offer just web hosting reviews. They have more than that. They have web hosting reviews that are submitted by users, a web hosting awards section, more than 25 links to related websites and partners, and a web hosting articles section.

So, sometimes, support technicians dealing with such people could get a bit rude. I know I would.

Back to the topic. Web Hosting Geeks also provide a graph of Blue Host’s uptime. This is great facility for such a site, and I don’t think I have seen this on other websites, other than Hosting Speeds, which is a bit un administered nowadays.

You can also find out what features you get at Blue Host, if they got any awards from who knows what organizations, that without going to their homepage. This way, you can stay in one place and view valuable information about multiple webhosts. Once you make up your mind, you can go to the top three you chose, and order a first month for testing. At the end of that month, you will stick with the one that you like best.
